TEMPORARY STATUS
Visiting Canada
People intending to visit Canada to see their relatives
or as tourists must meet the necessary requirements
and may need a temporary resident visa. Before placing
a temporary resident visa in the passport or any travel
document the officer at the visa office abroad would
be sure that the applicant is healthy, does not have
a criminal record, and has sufficient funds for a short
stay in Canada.
Canada does not pay for hospital or medical services
for visitors. Upon arrival to the country the officer
at the entry port will inform the visitor how long he/she
may stay in Canada.
A visitor may change the conditions of the visit or
extend the duration of the stay or the visit before
expiration date of the visa.
